Lab Resources
- The TLTC provides multimedia equipment for the Truman community to access various digital media technologies and receive instruction in their use.
- Priority of TLTC resources is given to academic related projects.
- Projects should be of reasonable size. Individuals should respect lab storage space to help ensure sufficient storage for all.
- The TLTC is availabe during scheduled hours only, after hours use of the TLTC is prohibited. The scheduled TLTC hours are posted at http://tltc.truman.edu/.
File/Folder Maintenance
- Files not modified within seven(7) days are subject to deletion.
- Project files, not including video, should be stored in the Documents folder.
- Video projects, such as iMovie, iDVD , Final Cut, or DVD Studio Pro projects, should be stored in the Movies folder or on the local hard drive.
- Video projects saved in the Documents folder or on Shared or Users will be deleted immediately.
- Copyrighted music files are prohibited on TLTC equipment and will be deleted immediately.
- Remove project files upon completion to free storage space for other users.
Video Station Users
- Please ask a lab worker for assistance signing up for available times.
- Do not remove or disconnect any cables. Ask a lab worker for assistance if you want to connect your personal video camera.
- Video projects should be stored in the Movies folder or on the local hard drive.
- Video projects saved in the Documents folder or on Shared or Users will be deleted immediately.
Printing
- The TLTC offers large format printing for faculty, staff, and students. Posters are printed during regular business hours Monday - Friday. We use 44" wide paper rolls. Either the width or length of your poster may exceed 44", but not both. Please allow for at least a 1/2-inch margin on each edge of the poster.
- Please visit our submission form at http://tltc.truman.edu/print.html. Additional instruction is provided on the form along with complete payment instruction.
- Please allow seven(7) days for delivery. Often, we work with large conference groups and at times we experience a high number of requests. You may email us at tltc@truman.edu to inquire about a specific timeframe requirement.
- The TLTC cannot guarantee a satisfactory product if a design application, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Inkscape, is not used for print creation. Since Microsoft PowerPoint is not a design application its use is not recommended.
Fair Use Guidelines for Educational Multimedia
- It is your responsibility to maintain fair copyright use.
- Some of the guidelines are posted below for your convenience.
- Motion media, up to 10% or 3 minutes, whichever is less.
- Text material, up to 10% or 1000 words, whichever is less.
- Sound media, up to 10% or 30 seconds, whichever is less.
- Illustrations/photographs, No more than 5 images from an artist/photographer, or no more than 10% or 15 works from a published collective work.
